Trump Media ends crypto deals, shifts focus to media, merger

Trump Media ended crypto ventures with Crypto.com and Yorkville, citing market saturation and new priorities. The company will focus on media and a merger with TAE. All new crypto projects are paused.

Trump Media and Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, has ended its crypto-related partnerships with Crypto.com and Yorkville Acquisition Corp. This decision, prompted by market saturation and shifting business priorities, marks a strategic change under new leadership. The company and its partners have mutually abandoned plans for the Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, which aimed to create a publicly traded treasury company based on Crypto.com’s Cronos blockchain and CRO token. Other digital asset deals and service agreements have also been canceled. Trump Media will now focus on its core media operations and an upcoming merger with fusion energy firm TAE. While existing Truth Social Funds ETFs will remain, all new crypto initiatives are on hold. The CRO token’s price fell after the announcement, and analysts suggest this move may influence broader investor sentiment in the crypto sector.
