Michael Saylor: ChatGPT unlocks $15B for Bitcoin Strategy
Michael Saylor credits ChatGPT for helping Strategy create a novel preferred stock, raising $15B. He predicts AI and Bitcoin will reshape finance and urges entrepreneurs to harness AI for new financial solutions.
Michael Saylor revealed that ChatGPT played a crucial role in helping Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) develop an innovative preferred stock product. This new instrument enabled the company to raise approximately $15 billion after traditional financing options were exhausted. Saylor emphasized the importance of partnering with AI to address unprecedented challenges, rather than viewing automation as competition. The preferred stock, named STRK, bridges the gap between debt and equity, and initially faced skepticism due to its novel structure. Strategy, now the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder with 842,138 BTC, has begun selling Bitcoin to fund dividends following a 26% drop in Bitcoin’s price and a 38% decline in its shares in 2026. Saylor described Bitcoin as digital capital and AI as digital intelligence, predicting their convergence will reshape finance, automate knowledge work, and transform wealth creation. He encouraged entrepreneurs to leverage AI for new challenges, noting that combining AI and Bitcoin will lead to unprecedented financial products.
