Quantum Solutions sells 1,000 ETH, shifts focus to AI

Quantum Solutions sold 1,000 ETH for $1.9M to fund AI data centers, reducing holdings by 29% and losing its top spot as Japan’s largest ETH holder. More ETH sales may follow for AI expansion.

Quantum Solutions, a Japanese technology firm, has sold 1,000 ETH for approximately $1.9 million through its subsidiary, GPT Pals Studio Limited. The funds from this sale will be used to expand the company’s artificial intelligence infrastructure, focusing on AI data centers and GPU equipment. The transaction took place on July 30 at an average price of $1,903 per ETH. This move is part of Quantum Solutions’ broader strategy to convert digital assets into operational capital to fuel AI business growth. Since June 2026, the company has sold a total of 1,904 ETH, reducing its holdings by nearly 29% from a peak of 6,668.8 ETH to about 4,765 ETH. Quantum Solutions expects to recognize a loss of around $100,000 from the latest sale, which will be reflected in its upcoming financial results. The sale also caused the company to lose its position as Japan’s largest corporate ETH holder, now surpassed by Def Consulting. The company has increased its authorized ETH sale limit, suggesting further divestments may occur as it continues to prioritize AI infrastructure investments over crypto holdings.
