PayPal surpassed expectations in the second quarter of 2026, posting adjusted earnings per share of $1.38, above the estimated $1.28. Revenue reached $8.68 billion, exceeding the forecasted $8.47 billion. Total payment volume climbed to $486.4 billion, marking a 10% year-over-year increase, while the active user base grew to 439 million. The company raised its adjusted earnings per share guidance for 2026 to $5.38. PayPal also emphasized the global expansion of its stablecoin, PYUSD, now available in 70 markets and offering 4% annual rewards to eligible holders. Additionally, PayPal recorded a non-GAAP adjustment of $81 million related to strategic investments and crypto assets. These strong results boosted the stock price and highlight progress in internal restructuring and digital innovation.
