Mubadala Capital launches $75M tokenized fund with Coinbase
Mubadala Capital, with Coinbase and KAIO, launched a $75M tokenized private market fund on Base, Solana, and Sui, expanding blockchain access to private investments.
Mubadala Capital, the asset management arm of Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund, has launched a $75 million tokenized private market investment fund. This initiative is in partnership with Coinbase and tokenization specialist KAIO, and the fund operates on the Base, Solana, and Sui blockchains. It is open to qualified investors, aiming to broaden access to private market strategies that were traditionally reserved for large institutions. Coinbase is not only providing the blockchain infrastructure but is also making a direct investment in the fund for onchain treasury management. This collaboration leverages regulated digital asset infrastructure to make private market investments more accessible. The launch is seen as a significant milestone for blockchain adoption among major asset managers and underscores the growing trend of tokenizing traditional financial assets. Mubadala Capital and KAIO have previously partnered on similar projects, and this move further advances the accessibility of sovereign wealth-backed private market strategies through digital channels.
