Flex and Velocity secure major stablecoin funding

Flex raised $70M to expand stablecoin banking for businesses. Velocity secured $38M to build stablecoin treasury and settlement tools for global merchants and institutions.

Flex, a fintech platform specializing in stablecoin-powered business banking, has raised $70 million in a Series B1 funding round led by Halo Fund, bringing its valuation to around $1.2 billion. The new capital will fuel the growth of Flex Global, its cross-border banking platform offering multi-currency accounts in 32 currencies across up to 170 countries. Flex also plans to introduce stablecoin-native features, such as net-60 cards and streamlined cross-border payments. Targeting mid-sized and high-net-worth business owners—an often underserved segment—Flex integrates private credit, business finance, personal finance, and payment tools into a unified platform. The company aims to double its workforce by the end of 2026 and emphasizes a compliance-first approach to attract regulated institutions. Separately, London-based fintech Velocity has raised $38 million in Series A funding. The company will use the funds to develop enterprise-grade stablecoin treasury and settlement infrastructure, targeting global merchants and financial institutions seeking to modernize operations and achieve near-instant settlement.
