eToro leads $12.5M round for Extended, boosts DeFi
eToro led a $12.5M round for Extended, an onchain perpetual futures exchange, and plans to integrate its trading engine into Zengo, boosting DeFi offerings.
eToro has led a $12.5 million funding round for Extended, an onchain perpetual futures exchange founded by former Revolut crypto executives. This investment aligns with eToro’s strategy to broaden its decentralized finance (DeFi) offerings and follows its $70 million acquisition of the self-custody wallet Zengo earlier this year. eToro intends to integrate Extended’s perpetual futures trading engine directly into the Zengo wallet, allowing users to trade derivatives while retaining full custody of their assets. Extended, built on Starknet, supports over 100 markets, including crypto, equities, foreign exchange, and commodities, and has processed more than $245 billion in trading volume as of June 2026. The partnership aims to bridge traditional financial assets with decentralized trading environments, expanding access to global markets through advanced onchain infrastructure. Jump Crypto and Alber Blanc also participated in the funding round.
