Securitize to raise $400M, debut on NYSE as SECZ

Securitize will raise $400M via a merger with Cantor Equity Partners II and will debut on the NYSE as SECZ on July 2, pending shareholder approval and closing conditions.

Securitize is poised to raise around $400 million as it prepares to go public through a merger with Cantor Equity Partners II, a special purpose acquisition company. The transaction is expected to close on July 1, pending shareholder approval at a meeting scheduled for June 29. Once the merger is finalized, the combined company will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SECZ on July 2. Notably, fewer than 30% of CEPT’s Class A shareholders chose to redeem their shares, ensuring most of the transaction’s funding remains intact. The anticipated $400 million in gross proceeds includes private investment in public equity (PIPE) financing, excluding transaction-related expenses. Securitize, which currently manages over $4 billion in tokenized real-world assets, plans to use the capital to expand its footprint in the rapidly growing tokenized asset sector. Completion of the deal remains subject to customary closing conditions and final shareholder approval.
