Aave eyes $3,500 target as tokenized assets drive DeFi

Aave bridges banking and DeFi, attracting institutions with strong revenues and a $3,500 price target by 2030. Tokenized assets and regulatory progress may boost its onchain lending leadership.

Aave is advancing the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector by enabling regulated transfers from traditional bank accounts to its lending platform. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and drive mainstream adoption, addressing the challenge of user retention. Standard Chartered has initiated coverage on Aave, projecting a bullish price target of $3,500 by 2030—a potential 50x increase from current levels. The bank’s outlook is based on expectations that DeFi assets will grow 37-fold, propelled by the integration of tokenized finance, stablecoins, and real-world assets into onchain markets. Aave reported $907 million in revenue for 2025 and $333 million year-to-date in 2026, reflecting robust growth and increasing institutional interest. Recent governance changes have consolidated all revenue streams into the DAO treasury, improving transparency and empowering token holders. Standard Chartered believes that the influx of tokenized assets could boost Aave’s deposits and help it reclaim its leadership in onchain lending. The bank estimates DeFi’s total value locked could reach $2.7 trillion by 2030, positioning Aave as a key platform for borrowing against tokenized real-world assets.
