MoonPay acquires Entendre for AI-powered crypto accounting

MoonPay acquired Entendre to automate crypto accounting with AI, streamlining reconciliation, treasury, and reporting for clients managing high-volume digital asset transactions.

MoonPay has acquired Entendre, an AI-powered accounting platform, to boost automation and efficiency in crypto and stablecoin financial operations. Entendre’s technology automates key back-office tasks, including reconciliation, treasury management, journal entries, reporting, and month-end close workflows. This allows companies to automate up to 93% of journal entries and process about 25,000 transactions per month across more than 30 accounts. With the acquisition, Entendre’s platform and team join MoonPay, and Entendre’s founder becomes vice president of applied AI. Clients such as Polygon Labs, Thirdweb, Brale, Babylon Labs, Ostium, Courtyard, and DoubleZero already use Entendre to manage complex digital asset flows. The integration complements MoonPay’s infrastructure, including its institutional-grade API, MoonPay Trade, and aims to address bottlenecks in crypto finance by unifying execution, settlement, and accounting. This move strengthens MoonPay’s push into AI-driven agentic finance and expands its reach beyond payments into comprehensive digital asset operations.
