Saylor hints at new MicroStrategy Bitcoin buy amid changes

Michael Saylor hints at a new MicroStrategy Bitcoin buy after debt reduction and fundraising. The company also seeks to change its preferred stock dividend schedule.

Michael Saylor has fueled speculation about a new Bitcoin acquisition for MicroStrategy after sharing a cryptic "Working Better" post on social media, accompanied by a chart he has previously used to hint at upcoming purchases. This follows a pause in the company’s regular Bitcoin buying, as MicroStrategy repurchased $1.5 billion in convertible notes at a discount, effectively reducing its outstanding debt. To further strengthen its balance sheet, MicroStrategy raised $2 billion through a preferred stock offering and secured an additional $84 million from Class A shares, using the proceeds to acquire nearly 25,000 BTC. As of late May, the company holds 843,738 Bitcoin, valued at over $62 billion. Meanwhile, MicroStrategy is encouraging shareholders to vote on a proposal to shift its preferred stock dividend schedule from monthly to semi-monthly, aiming to enhance liquidity and price stability. The market is now closely watching for confirmation of a new Bitcoin purchase, as Saylor’s previous cryptic signals have often preceded official announcements.
