VanEck launches first U.S. spot BNB ETF on Nasdaq
VanEck launched the first U.S. spot BNB ETF (VBNB) on Nasdaq, offering direct BNB exposure via brokerage accounts. The ETF is backed by BNB in cold storage and charges a 0.39% management fee.
VanEck has introduced the first U.S. spot BNB exchange-traded fund (ETF), trading under the ticker VBNB on Nasdaq. This ETF allows investors to gain direct exposure to BNB, the native token of the BNB Chain, through traditional brokerage accounts, eliminating the need to directly purchase or store the token themselves. The fund is physically backed by BNB held in cold storage, with Anchorage Digital Bank serving as custodian. It features a 0.39% management fee. This launch expands VanEck’s crypto ETF offerings, which already include products for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche. BNB Chain is notable for its high transaction volume, processing over 14 million transactions daily and supporting more than 2.5 million daily active users. The ETF does not offer staking at launch due to regulatory uncertainties. Grayscale has also filed for a spot BNB ETF. The debut of VBNB broadens U.S. investor access to major cryptocurrencies.
