Robinhood Crypto COO departs amid revenue decline

Robinhood Crypto COO Tanya Denisova departs after five years as the firm faces a 47% crypto revenue drop and shifts focus to broader financial services.

Tanya Denisova, Chief Operating Officer of Robinhood Crypto, is leaving the company after more than five years. Her departure marks a significant leadership change as Robinhood faces a sharp decline in crypto trading activity. The exit comes after Robinhood reported a 47% year-over-year drop in crypto revenue for Q1, falling to $134 million from $252 million. This decline contributed to the company missing both earnings and revenue expectations, with reduced digital asset trading cited as a primary factor. During her tenure, Denisova oversaw the launch of commission-free crypto trading, digital wallets, staking features, and international expansion. Robinhood is now focusing on diversifying its revenue streams and expanding into traditional financial services. Neither Denisova nor Robinhood have commented on her departure, and no successor has been named.
