Revolut Rockets to $75B Valuation with Tech Giants and Global Expansion
Revolut’s valuation soared to $75 billion after a secondary share sale involving major investors like Nvidia. The fintech reported strong financials, expanded globally, and boosted its crypto services.
Revolut has reached a $75 billion valuation following a major secondary share sale, marking a significant leap from its previous $45 billion valuation. The transaction attracted investment from prominent firms including Nvidia’s venture capital arm, Coatue, Greenoaks, Dragoneer, Fidelity, Andreessen Horowitz, Franklin Templeton, and T. Rowe Price. The share sale provided liquidity for early investors and employees, allowing them to sell portions of their stakes. Revolut reported $4 billion in revenue for 2024, a 72% increase year-over-year, and pre-tax profits of $1.4 billion, up 149%. The company’s global customer base now exceeds 65 million, with its business arm generating $1 billion in annualized revenue. Revolut continues to expand internationally, securing banking licenses in Mexico and Colombia, and preparing for launches in India and Latin America. The company has also enhanced its crypto offerings, launching a Crypto 2.0 platform and enabling stablecoin remittances via the Polygon blockchain. Despite its rapid growth, Revolut is still pursuing a full UK banking license, which remains a key focus.
