Bitmine joins NYSE, expands $4B buyback, grows ETH holdings

Bitmine joined the NYSE, expanded its buyback to $4B, and holds 4.8M ETH, nearing a 5% supply target. Its staking operations and MAVAN product boost its crypto strategy.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies has transitioned its listing from Nasdaq and NYSE American to the New York Stock Exchange, marking a significant milestone for the company. Alongside this move, Bitmine expanded its share repurchase program from $1 billion to $4 billion, making it one of the largest buybacks announced for 2026. The board approved this increase to provide flexibility in retiring shares when they trade below intrinsic value. The program, initially approved in July 2025, allows open-market transactions and includes shares already repurchased. Bitmine has also increased its Ethereum holdings, now owning approximately 4.803 million ETH—about 3.98% of the total Ethereum supply—and continues to target a 5% share. These holdings generate substantial revenue through staking, with over 3.3 million ETH staked. Additionally, Bitmine recently launched MAVAN, a staking product designed for other enterprises. These initiatives highlight Bitmine’s strategy to strengthen its traditional market presence while expanding its cryptocurrency assets.
