Coinbase unveils 24/7 perpetual futures for global users
Coinbase launches 24/7 perpetual futures on U.S. stocks and ETFs for non-U.S. traders, offering up to 20x leverage, USDC settlement, and cross-margining with crypto.
Coinbase has introduced perpetual futures contracts on major U.S. stocks and ETFs, available 24/7 for eligible traders outside the United States. These products enable users to gain synthetic exposure to leading equities such as Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, NVIDIA, Meta, and Tesla, as well as ETFs like SPY and QQQ. Traders can access up to 10x leverage on individual stocks and up to 20x on ETFs, with all contracts settled in USDC. Cross-margining is supported across both crypto and equity positions. This initiative addresses the growing global demand for continuous, capital-efficient access to U.S. equities, particularly in regions where direct investment is restricted or expensive. The launch is part of Coinbase’s broader strategy to become an “Everything Exchange,” integrating crypto and traditional assets on a single platform. Initially, the offering is available to non-U.S. users via Coinbase Advanced and Coinbase International Exchange, with plans to expand asset coverage in the future. The launch leverages Coinbase’s established derivatives infrastructure to enhance trading flexibility for global users.
