dtcpay raises $10M, secures Luxembourg license for EU
dtcpay raised $10M in Series A led by Vertex Ventures and secured a Luxembourg EMI license, enabling regulated stablecoin and fiat payments across Europe. The company aims to bridge digital and traditional finance.
dtcpay, a Singapore-based digital payments company, has secured $10 million in a Series A funding round led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India. The new capital will support product development, infrastructure upgrades, and the company’s expansion into the European market. dtcpay recently obtained an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license in Luxembourg, enabling it to offer regulated stablecoin and fiat payment services across the European Economic Area. The company already holds payment licenses in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, the United States, and Canada. dtcpay’s platform allows businesses and individuals to accept, store, and transact in both stablecoins and fiat currencies, featuring a real-time swap engine for instant settlement. The company aims to bridge digital assets with traditional finance, positioning itself as a compliant provider amid tightening regulations. Notably, some reports highlight that dtcpay’s last confirmed funding was a $16.5 million pre-Series A in June 2023, raising questions about funding round classifications.
