Coinbase to suspend 25 perpetual futures contracts

Coinbase will suspend trading for 25 perpetual futures contracts on March 16, 2026. The move targets low-volume pairs and does not affect spot trading. MINA Coin is highlighted for recent losses.

Coinbase has announced it will suspend trading for 25 perpetual futures contracts on both Coinbase Advanced and Coinbase International Exchange, effective March 16, 2026. This suspension affects only derivatives trading and will not impact spot trading of the underlying tokens. The affected contracts include MET, REZ, BABY, SUPER, SUSHI, GMX, ERA, XAN, VINE, T, YB, WCT, HOME, NOT, MINA, CATI, DOGS, COW, GRT, DRIFT, COOKIE, ARKM, B3, SXT, and BB. All open positions will be automatically settled at the average index price over the last 60 minutes before suspension, with the final funding rate set to zero. Coinbase cites factors such as trading volume, liquidity, regulatory compliance, and maintenance costs for this decision. MINA Coin has drawn particular attention due to significant devaluation and investor losses. This move is part of Coinbase’s broader effort to enhance the quality of tradable assets, with minimal immediate price volatility observed for most affected tokens.
