Web3 startups raised over $109 million in funding during the week of February 16–23. Novig led the way, securing $75 million for its sports prediction markets. Kresus followed with $13 million for its mobile wallet platform, while NEWITY received $11 million for crypto credit services. Seed and pre-seed rounds included Unicity, PlutonAI, PRED, Rizon, Fireplace, and Endl, which collectively raised several million dollars. These projects focus on AI agents, DeFi, and payment infrastructure. Meanwhile, Based, a Hyperliquid-powered super-app, closed an $11.5 million Series A round led by Pantera Capital, with backing from Coinbase Ventures, Wintermute Ventures, and Karatage. Based aims to accelerate global expansion and deepen onchain financial infrastructure, unifying perpetuals trading, prediction markets, and real-world crypto spending. The platform has over 100,000 users and $40 billion in trading volume within eight months of launch.
