Bitwise files for election-focused PredictionShares ETFs

Bitwise filed with the SEC to launch six PredictionShares ETFs tied to U.S. election outcomes, offering regulated access to political event contracts. Launch is pending regulatory approval.

Bitwise Asset Management has submitted a filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to introduce a new suite of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) under the PredictionShares brand, focusing on major U.S. election outcomes. The proposed lineup features six ETFs: two tracking the 2028 presidential election (one for each major party), two for 2026 Senate control, and two for 2026 House control. These ETFs aim to deliver returns based on specific political results by investing primarily in binary event contracts traded on regulated exchanges. This move highlights increasing institutional and investor interest in regulated prediction markets, following similar filings from issuers like GraniteShares and Roundhill. Bitwise's initiative represents a strategic expansion beyond traditional crypto indexing, seeking to bring prediction market-style products to mainstream finance. The launch of PredictionShares is subject to regulatory approval before becoming available to investors.
