VanEck debuts first U.S. Avalanche ETP with staking rewards

VanEck launched the first U.S. Avalanche ETP (VAVX) on Nasdaq, offering AVAX exposure and staking rewards, with no sponsor fees on the first $500M. The trust structure expands regulated crypto investment options.

VanEck has introduced the first U.S.-listed exchange-traded product (ETP) offering direct exposure to Avalanche’s AVAX token. Trading under the ticker VAVX on Nasdaq, this product enables investors to track AVAX price movements and potentially earn staking rewards. A portion of the AVAX held is staked, with rewards distributed to holders after fees. VanEck is waiving sponsor fees for the first $500 million in assets or until February 28, 2026, whichever comes first. After this period, a management fee will apply. The ETP is structured as a trust, which is standard for single-asset crypto products and is not an SEC-approved ETF. Staking services are provided by Benqi Finance, Hypha, and Yield Yak, while Coinbase Crypto Services charges a 4% fee on staking rewards. This launch expands regulated crypto investment options beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, increasing institutional access to Avalanche’s ecosystem.
