Grayscale files for spot BNB ETF, eyes Nasdaq listing

Grayscale has filed for a spot BNB ETF with the SEC, aiming for a Nasdaq listing. The ETF would offer regulated Binance Coin exposure and awaits regulatory approval.

Grayscale Investments has filed an S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a spot Binance Coin (BNB) exchange-traded fund (ETF). This move aims to expand Grayscale’s altcoin ETF offerings beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. If approved, the ETF would be listed on Nasdaq under the ticker GBNB, enabling investors to gain regulated exposure to BNB without the need to manage digital wallets. Coinbase Custody will provide secure asset storage, while Bank of New York Mellon will serve as the transfer agent. Grayscale’s initiative aligns it with other asset managers, such as VanEck, who are also pursuing BNB ETFs. The filing marks a significant step in integrating cryptocurrencies into traditional financial markets, though it remains subject to regulatory approval.
