Strategy has executed its largest Bitcoin acquisition in over nine months, purchasing 22,305 BTC for approximately $2.13 billion between January 12 and 19, 2026, at an average price of $95,284 per coin. This move brings the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to 709,715 BTC, valued at about $64.5 billion at current prices, representing over 3% of Bitcoin’s maximum supply. The acquisition was primarily financed through the sale of common and preferred shares, raising around $2.125 billion. This transaction marks the company’s biggest weekly Bitcoin purchase since November 2024 and its fifth-largest overall. Strategy’s average aggregate cost for its Bitcoin holdings is $75,979 per BTC, with a total investment of $53.9 billion. The company’s aggressive accumulation highlights its commitment to using Bitcoin as a primary treasury reserve asset, a model increasingly adopted by other public companies. Despite recent market volatility and a decline in its stock price, Strategy remains the world’s largest corporate holder of Bitcoin.
