K33 launches crypto-backed lending in the Nordics

K33 launches crypto-backed loans in the Nordics, letting clients borrow USDC against Bitcoin and other digital assets, while using its Bitcoin treasury to generate yield and expand services.

K33 has introduced a crypto-backed lending service in the Nordic region, enabling eligible clients to borrow USDC by using Bitcoin, Ether, and other digital assets as collateral. This solution allows users to access liquidity without selling their holdings, helping them maintain long-term exposure to digital assets. The product utilizes K33’s Bitcoin treasury to generate yield and broaden its service portfolio. This marks a significant move in K33’s strategy to transform its treasury into an active, yield-generating asset. Initially, the service is available to a select group of clients, who can convert borrowed USDC into fiat currencies such as NOK, EUR, and USD. K33’s launch positions it as one of the first regulated providers of crypto-backed lending in the Nordics, addressing a gap in local digital asset financial services and aligning with its broader strategy of integrating brokerage and balance sheet-backed products.
