Ripple invests $150M to boost RLUSD in global trading

Ripple invests $150M in LMAX Group to integrate RLUSD stablecoin as collateral, enhancing liquidity, efficiency, and 24/7 cross-asset access for institutional clients.

Ripple and LMAX Group have announced a multi-year strategic partnership, with Ripple investing $150 million to support LMAX’s cross-asset growth. The collaboration centers on integrating Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin as a core collateral and settlement asset across LMAX’s global institutional trading platforms, including spot crypto, perpetual futures, CFDs, and select fiat pairs. RLUSD will be available through LMAX Custody and LMAX Kiosk, offering secure, segregated wallets and 24/7 cross-asset market access for institutional clients such as banks, brokers, and buy-side firms. This partnership aims to boost trading efficiency, liquidity, and margin management, positioning RLUSD as a bridge between traditional finance and digital assets. The integration is expected to drive RLUSD’s utility and adoption, supported by regulatory compliance and global licenses. This move follows a strong year for LMAX, with $8.2 trillion in institutional exchange volume, and marks a significant step in uniting traditional and digital financial markets.
