Hsiao-Wei Wang resigns from Ethereum Foundation roles
Hsiao-Wei Wang resigned from the Ethereum Foundation after a sabbatical, citing personal priorities. She will remain active in the community despite recent leadership changes.
Hsiao-Wei Wang has resigned from her roles as co-executive director and board member of the Ethereum Foundation, effective immediately after a sabbatical. Wang explained that her time away helped her reassess her personal priorities, leading her to step back and focus more on her family and personal life. She expressed pride in her contributions to the Foundation and highlighted that Ethereum’s real strength lies in its global, decentralized community rather than any single individual. Wang’s departure follows several other high-profile exits, including Tomasz Stańczak, and comes amid ongoing discussions about the Foundation’s governance and leadership. During Wang’s sabbatical, Bastian Aue managed the transition. Wang stated she will continue to support the Ethereum ecosystem as a community member, though her future plans remain undecided.
