Charles Hoskinson leads Cardano shift to Discord

Charles Hoskinson is moving Cardano community discussions from X to Discord for a more moderated, positive environment. Future AMA questions and interactions will be sourced from Discord.

Charles Hoskinson has announced a plan to transition the Cardano community’s main discussions and activities from X (formerly Twitter) to Discord. Developed with Phillip Pon, this initiative aims to foster a more organized, moderated, and positive environment for community engagement, with a focus on governance, development, and ecosystem coordination. Hoskinson cited the prevalence of drama, public disputes, and negativity on X as key reasons for the move. He emphasized that Discord will provide well-managed channels designed for productive conversations. While Hoskinson will continue livestreaming on X due to his large following, future AMA (Ask Me Anything) questions and community interactions will be sourced exclusively from the new Cardano Discord and the existing Midnight Discord. The migration will be gradual, giving the community time to adapt to Discord as the primary venue for Cardano-related discussions. This shift comes amid recent tensions in the Cardano ecosystem, including governance disputes, project closures, and scrutiny over ADA’s market performance.
