Pi Network nears KYC rewards launch, Kraken eyes PI listing
Pi Network targets March 2026 for its KYC rewards launch. Kraken adds Pi to its 2026 roadmap, boosting optimism, but PI token faces steep declines amid high trading and token unlock concerns.
Pi Network has finalized the design and implementation of its KYC validator rewards system, with the core team confirming that testing is underway. The official launch is targeted for March 2026, aiming to incentivize users who have verified millions of identities. This milestone follows the recent migration of 2.5 million users to mainnet, marking significant progress for the project. In parallel, Kraken has added Pi (PI) to its 2026 roadmap under the "Chains" section, hinting at potential blockchain integration and future native token trading support. While this has energized the Pi community, Kraken emphasized that roadmap entries are subject to change and no official listing is guaranteed yet. Despite these advancements, the PI token has experienced a sharp decline, dropping over 30% in the past month and more than 95% from its all-time high. Concerns about upcoming token unlocks and increased selling pressure persist, but transaction volume remains high, reflecting sustained community interest as they await further updates on exchange listings and mainnet development.
