Social media platform X is set to launch a new onboarding feature called “Starterpacks,” aimed at helping new users quickly discover and follow curated groups of accounts tailored to their interests, including cryptocurrency, technology, business, politics, and culture. Developed over several months, Starterpacks compiles leading voices from more than 1,000 categories. During onboarding, users can select their interests and automatically follow relevant lists, streamlining discovery and addressing declining engagement in niche communities, particularly within the crypto sector. Crypto-themed Starterpacks will highlight accounts focused on meme coin trading, market trends, software development, and economic analysis. This initiative responds to a notable decrease in Bitcoin-related posts and concerns about crypto content visibility, aiming to lower entry barriers and boost engagement in specialized communities.
