Bybit unveils European super-app for crypto and stocks
Bybit is launching a European super-app that merges crypto, stocks, derivatives, and banking, enabled by MiCA, EMI, and soon MiFID II licenses, letting users manage all assets in one place.
Bybit, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, is accelerating its European expansion with the development of a comprehensive "super-app." This platform will integrate crypto trading, traditional equities, derivatives, and banking features into a single, unified interface. The company has already secured a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license and an electronic money institution (EMI) license from Austria’s Financial Market Authority, granting access to the entire European Union. Bybit is also nearing the acquisition of a Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) license, which will allow it to offer regulated derivatives, tokenized stocks, and other financial products. The super-app will function similarly to a digital bank, providing IBAN accounts, payroll services, and domestic payment transfers. Once all licenses are obtained, users will be able to hold both digital currencies and equities, such as Apple and Tesla shares, within a single account. Bybit’s regulatory-focused strategy aims to position it as a comprehensive financial platform in Europe.
