Coinbase, Moov bring stablecoin services to community banks

Coinbase and Moov are enabling 1,000+ U.S. community banks and credit unions to offer stablecoin payments and real-time funding via integrated digital asset infrastructure.

Coinbase has partnered with Moov to introduce stablecoin payment, settlement, and real-time funding capabilities to more than 1,000 community banks and credit unions across the U.S. This collaboration integrates Coinbase’s digital asset infrastructure with Moov’s payment systems, allowing smaller financial institutions to offer stablecoin services without developing their own crypto solutions or relying on third-party platforms. The rollout features consumer and merchant stablecoin payments, business payouts, custodial wallets, and access to Coinbase’s Payments API. These services aim to streamline transactions and reduce costs, particularly benefiting small businesses seeking faster settlements and lower fees. The announcement comes just days before a significant Senate vote on the Clarity Act, legislation that could impact digital asset regulation. The partnership is positioned as a bridge between the crypto industry and traditional community banking, addressing growing demand for modern payment solutions.
