Citi has introduced Custody+, a comprehensive custody platform designed for institutional clients seeking secure management of both traditional and digital assets. The platform leverages advanced technologies, including Single Event Processing, to enable real-time asset servicing. This innovation significantly reduces processing times for corporate actions and supports instant settlement, on-demand FX, and real-time cash and liquidity management. At launch, Custody+ will offer bitcoin custody, allowing clients to hold digital assets alongside traditional assets within a regulated environment. The service is set to debut later this year, marking Citi’s entry into the digital asset custody space and aligning it with other major financial institutions providing similar offerings. Custody+ also features AI-driven tax acceleration, market intelligence, and cloud-based data access, aiming to deliver a seamless, integrated experience for institutional investors.
