HashKey Exchange secures JPMorgan client account approval
HashKey Exchange secures JPMorgan approval for a client money account, enabling fund segregation and USD settlements—a key milestone for Hong Kong’s regulated crypto sector.
HashKey Exchange, Hong Kong’s largest licensed digital asset platform, has secured approval from JPMorgan to open a client money account. This move allows HashKey to segregate customer funds from its own operational capital, significantly enhancing fund protection and transparency for its users. The JPMorgan approval marks a major milestone in bridging traditional finance with the digital asset industry. HashKey already maintains similar accounts with DBS Bank and Deutsche Bank. The new JPMorgan account will support U.S. dollar settlements, further strengthening HashKey’s regulated trading activities and client fund management. According to HashKey, it is the first licensed digital asset exchange in Asia to receive such approval from JPMorgan. Recently, HashKey also unified its Exchange and Global apps into a single portal, streamlining services across jurisdictions. These advancements align with Hong Kong’s ongoing efforts to develop its digital asset market, where HashKey holds a significant share of the regulated crypto sector.
