DTCC integrates Chainlink for real-time collateral platform

DTCC is integrating Chainlink’s tech into its Collateral AppChain, enabling 24/7, real-time collateral management and automation across global markets and blockchains.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is integrating Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and data standards into its blockchain-based Collateral AppChain platform. This initiative aims to modernize collateral management, enabling near real-time, 24/7 operations across global financial markets and blockchain networks. Built on a Besu-based blockchain, the Collateral AppChain will provide shared infrastructure for collateral providers, receivers, managers, custodians, and triparty agents. Leveraging Chainlink’s technology, the platform will automate critical workflows such as pricing, valuation, margining, eligibility checks, settlement, and collateral optimization. The integration addresses inefficiencies in traditional collateral systems, supports asset tokenization, and enhances capital efficiency and operational effectiveness through distributed ledger technology and smart contract automation. This move builds on previous blockchain collaborations and aligns with DTCC’s broader strategy to advance tokenization and real-time financial infrastructure.
