SoFi launches direct Solana deposits for 13.7M users
SoFi now lets 13.7M users deposit, buy, and hold Solana (SOL) directly in its app, enabling real on-chain transfers and merging crypto with banking services.
SoFi, a US-chartered national bank, has launched direct Solana (SOL) deposits for its 13.7 million users. This new feature allows users to send SOL from external wallets directly into their SoFi crypto accounts, making it easier to manage digital assets within the SoFi app. With this integration, users can buy, sell, hold, and manage SOL alongside other cryptocurrencies and traditional banking products, all in one place. Unlike most banks that offer only brokerage-style crypto exposure, SoFi enables real on-chain transfers, bridging regulated banking with public blockchain networks. The rollout, which began in late February 2026, marks a significant step forward in digital asset services among US banks. SoFi is now one of the first institutions to support direct blockchain integration, offering users a seamless experience that combines traditional banking and crypto services, including instant transfers from FDIC-insured accounts.
