Singapore Gulf Bank unveils regulated fiat-stablecoin platform
Singapore Gulf Bank launched a regulated platform merging fiat and stablecoin operations for institutions, enabling real-time settlement and unified liquidity management across major blockchains.
Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB) has introduced a regulated platform that unifies fiat currencies and stablecoins for institutional clients. The enhanced SGB Net system allows minting, trading, conversion, holding, and transfer of stablecoins like USDC and USDT alongside traditional currencies. It supports major blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, and Arbitrum. Processing over $2 billion in monthly fiat transactions, SGB Net is experiencing rapid growth, with some reports citing a 90%+ month-on-month increase. The platform streamlines treasury workflows, simplifies digital asset settlement, and boosts capital efficiency by integrating compliance measures such as KYC, KYB, and AML protocols. Available exclusively to corporate clients, SGB Net bridges traditional finance and digital asset flows, offering near real-time settlement and unified liquidity management. SGB has partnered with Fireblocks for secure custody and is collaborating with regulators to ensure robust safeguards, with full access expected by Q1 2026.
