Visa-linked crypto card spending soared by 525% in 2025, with total transaction volume rising from $14.6 million in January to $91.3 million by December. EtherFi led all Visa crypto card programs with $55.4 million in spending, followed by Cypher at $20.5 million. Six platforms, including GnosisPay, Avici Money, Exa App, and Moonwell, issued Visa crypto cards, reflecting growing global adoption. Visa expanded its stablecoin infrastructure, enabling settlement across Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and Stellar, and introduced a stablecoin advisory unit to support banks and fintechs. The surge in spending highlights a shift from crypto as a speculative asset to a practical payment tool, with the highest usage in the U.S., Europe, and select Asia-Pacific markets. Analysts attribute the growth to improved user experience, regulatory clarity, and seamless crypto-to-fiat conversions at the point of sale. The trend is expected to continue in 2026 as Visa further integrates stablecoins and expands partnerships.
