Mesh and Visa enable direct crypto payments globally

Mesh and Visa partner to let users spend crypto and stablecoins directly at 175M merchants, enabling seamless payments without asset conversion or extra cards.

Mesh has partnered with Visa to allow consumers to spend cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances directly at over 175 million merchant locations worldwide. This collaboration enables users to pay both in-store and online from their wallet apps, without converting assets to fiat, transferring funds to a bank account, or preloading a separate payment card. Mesh’s infrastructure handles instant conversion and settlement at the point of sale, while merchants receive traditional funds through Visa’s existing network. This means merchants do not need to make any changes to their checkout systems. The service will be accessible via a single Mesh integration for participating platforms, with onboarding and customer verification managed by Mesh. Details on compatible platforms, supported devices, and the initial rollout schedule are yet to be announced. The partnership aims to solve the “last mile” problem in crypto spending, making digital assets more practical for everyday purchases across Visa’s global network.
