Telegram has introduced Money, an integrated wallet feature within its messaging app, enabling users to send Gram tokens and purchase digital collectibles—such as gifts and collectible usernames—directly in chats. The Money section appears automatically after an incoming transfer, simplifying the process of managing and transferring Gram without complex trading interfaces. Previously available only to select users, Money is now rolling out to Telegram’s entire user base of over a billion people. The wallet, rebranded from Wallet to Money, is designed for simple in-app payments, while the separate Walt app remains available for advanced trading and multi-asset services. Following this expansion, the GRAM token surged 9% to $1.56. Market capitalization reached $4.12 billion, and trading volume increased by 41% to $132.4 million. Transfers via Money are instant and free of network fees, enhancing the user experience for digital asset transactions within Telegram.
