Solana Foundation appoints new leaders for growth

Solana Foundation named Rachel Conlan and Jamal Raees to key roles, aiming to boost institutional adoption and payment solutions after processing over $5 trillion in stablecoin volume in 2026.

The Solana Foundation has appointed Rachel Conlan as Chief Strategy Officer and Jamal Raees as General Manager of Payments. Conlan, formerly global chief marketing officer at Binance and with senior roles at OKX, CAA Sports, and Havas, will lead institutional partnerships, ecosystem growth, and go-to-market strategies. Raees, who joins from Polygon Labs and has experience at Bridge and Wyre, will focus on expanding Solana’s payment infrastructure for enterprises. These leadership changes aim to boost institutional adoption and enhance payment solutions on the Solana network. The Foundation reports that Solana processed over $5 trillion in stablecoin volume in 2026, with real-world assets exceeding $4.5 billion and tokenized equity supply over $620 million. This "Token Supercycle" signals a shift of assets and financial activities to blockchain. Solana seeks to turn institutional interest into practical use cases and strengthen alliances with cross-border payment providers.
