OpenSea relaunches Solana NFT trading after four years
OpenSea has relaunched Solana NFT trading on OS2, letting users buy, sell, and trade Solana collectibles. This marks Solana’s return after four years and expands OpenSea’s multi-chain reach.
OpenSea has fully reinstated support for Solana NFT trading on its OS2 platform, allowing users to buy, sell, and trade Solana-based digital collectibles like Claynosaurz, Mad Lads, BoDoggos, Collector Crypt, and Phygitals. This update comes over four years after OpenSea’s initial Solana NFT beta in April 2022, which saw limited traction as native Solana marketplaces such as Magic Eden and Tensor led trading activity. The relaunch follows OpenSea’s addition of Solana fungible token trading in April 2025, making Solana the first non-EVM blockchain supported for NFT trading since the beta ended. OS2, now rebuilt as a multi-chain hub, supports NFTs and fungible tokens across more than 19 networks, including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Base, Monad, Sei, and Berachain. This move comes as the NFT market remains below its 2021–2022 peaks, with OpenSea aiming to expand its multi-chain strategy and attract Solana collectors.
