Tether launches real estate tokenization in Saudi Arabia
Tether, First Data, and BKN301 are launching Hadron to tokenize real estate in Saudi Arabia, supporting Vision 2030 and potentially expanding into energy and infrastructure.
Tether has announced a strategic partnership with First Data and BKN301 to launch its Hadron platform for institutional real estate asset tokenization in Saudi Arabia. This initiative aims to provide the foundational infrastructure for issuing, managing, and administering tokenized real estate assets, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 economic modernization goals. Under the collaboration, First Data will act as the issuer and market operator, while BKN301 will oversee technical integration and banking connectivity. Launched in 2024, Hadron is designed to simplify asset tokenization for institutional clients, offering regulated, blockchain-native representations of real-world assets. The partnership may expand to include sectors such as energy and infrastructure finance, signaling Tether’s broader move into real-world asset tokenization beyond its stablecoin business. The project aims to unlock capital from illiquid property holdings and promote Sharia-compliant digital finance in the region.
