KuCoin Pay has expanded its QR-based cryptocurrency payment services to Argentina and Peru, allowing users to spend digital assets and stablecoins through popular local payment networks. In Argentina, KuCoin Pay integrates with the Transferencias 3.0 network, enabling payments via interoperable QR codes used by platforms like Mercado Pago. In Peru, the service connects with leading payment apps Yape and Plin, supporting a variety of everyday transactions such as retail shopping, transportation, food delivery, and peer-to-peer transfers. The system utilizes universal QR connectivity, letting users scan existing merchant QR codes and automatically routing payments through the appropriate local network. With support for over 50 cryptocurrencies and off-chain settlement to minimize transaction fees, this expansion highlights the growing adoption of QR payments and digital assets in Latin America.
