GoMining unveils GoBTC Pay for direct Bitcoin payments

GoMining launched GoBTC Pay SDK and API, enabling merchants to accept direct, non-custodial Bitcoin payments on-chain, with a 0.2% fee and no fiat conversion, challenging rivals like Square.

GoMining has introduced the GoBTC Pay Gen1 SDK and API, allowing merchants, wallet providers, and ecosystem partners to integrate its Bitcoin payment protocol into real-world commerce. The GoBTC Pay platform supports direct, non-custodial Bitcoin transactions settled on-chain, setting itself apart from competitors like Square by delivering BTC to merchants by default, rather than converting payments to fiat currency. The Gen1 release features merchant onboarding tools, a web-based dashboard, online payment integrations, public developer documentation, and an open API. GoMining is initially onboarding up to 10 merchants and partners, with a 0.2% transaction fee shared between wallet providers and miners. Built on GoMining’s Stratum V2 mining infrastructure, the protocol targets an average settlement time of about 12 hours and low transaction fees. GoMining’s goal is to make Bitcoin payments seamless and intuitive for everyday purchases, promoting Bitcoin as a medium of exchange, not just a store of value.
