Avalanche launches global Payments Collective

Avalanche launched the Payments Collective, uniting 28 organizations to build a global blockchain payments ecosystem spanning 150+ countries and 22 billion endpoints.

Avalanche has introduced the Avalanche Payments Collective, a consortium of 28 organizations including Franklin Templeton, VanEck, WisdomTree, Paxos, Kraken, Anchorage Digital, and the Wyoming Stable Token Commission. This initiative seeks to build a comprehensive blockchain payments ecosystem, covering settlement, stablecoins, treasury management, foreign exchange, compliance, custody, cross-border payouts, and merchant acceptance. The Payments Collective supports payment flows in over 150 countries, 96 currencies, and approximately 22 billion payout endpoints, such as bank accounts, cards, and mobile wallets. It formalizes a network of firms already developing payment solutions on Avalanche, featuring members like Axiym, which has processed over $1.4 billion in cross-border transactions, and Tassat’s Lynq network, which migrated to Avalanche to provide institutional settlement infrastructure. By fostering collaboration and innovation in blockchain-based financial services, the Payments Collective aims to streamline payments and reinforce Avalanche’s position in the global payments sector.
