Coins.ph enables Bitcoin and Ethereum payments via QRPh

Coins.ph now supports Bitcoin and Ethereum payments via QRPh, letting users spend crypto at 700,000 merchants in the Philippines with automatic peso conversion at checkout.

Coins.ph has expanded its QRPh crypto payment system in the Philippines to support Bitcoin and Ethereum, in addition to previously integrated stablecoins like USDT. With this update, users can pay at approximately 700,000 QRPh-enabled merchants nationwide by simply scanning a QR code. Crypto balances are automatically converted into Philippine pesos at checkout, eliminating the need for manual conversion and making crypto payments as seamless as traditional transactions. This enhancement aims to boost the use of digital assets in everyday retail and service environments, further integrating cryptocurrencies into the national payment infrastructure. The move is particularly significant for the Philippines’ large remittance market, where stablecoins are already popular for cross-border transfers. Recipients can now keep value in digital assets and spend locally without extra steps. Coins.ph views this integration as a major step toward making cryptocurrencies a practical part of daily financial life in the country.
