Solana and Google Cloud launch Pay.sh for AI payments
Solana Foundation and Google Cloud launched Pay.sh, letting AI agents pay for APIs with stablecoins on Solana, removing accounts and subscriptions for seamless pay-per-use access.
Solana Foundation and Google Cloud have launched Pay.sh, a payment gateway enabling AI agents to autonomously access and pay for APIs using stablecoins on the Solana blockchain. Pay.sh removes traditional onboarding steps like account creation, credential management, and subscriptions, allowing agents to pay per request directly from a Solana wallet. The system supports Google Cloud APIs such as Gemini, BigQuery, Vertex AI, BigTable, and Cloud Run, along with over 50 community API providers. Users can fund wallets with credit cards or stablecoins, while agents can browse a unified API marketplace, view real-time pricing, and execute calls instantly. Pay.sh operates as an API proxy on Google Cloud, utilizing payment-based authorization instead of credentials, with settlements processed in seconds on Solana. The platform leverages protocols like x402 and is compatible with the Machine Payments Protocol, streamlining machine-to-machine commerce and boosting efficiency for applications relying on multiple digital services.
