KuCoin launches KuCard for crypto payments in Australia

KuCoin launches KuCard in Australia, enabling real-time crypto payments via Mastercard. Users can spend USDC and 37 other assets, with automatic conversion to fiat at checkout.

KuCoin has introduced KuCard in Australia, allowing eligible users to make everyday purchases with cryptocurrency through Mastercard’s global network. Developed in partnership with Immersve, the card enables real-time spending of USDC and 37 supported trading pairs at any merchant that accepts Mastercard, including payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay. At checkout, digital assets are automatically converted to fiat currency, eliminating the need for manual pre-conversion and offering a seamless payment experience similar to traditional debit cards. This innovation aims to make crypto spending as convenient as using regular bank cards. The launch is part of KuCoin’s broader strategy to expand the real-world utility of digital assets, enhance compliance and security, and build trust in the digital asset ecosystem. Supported by AUSTRAC registration and regulatory approvals in other regions, KuCoin seeks to make crypto payments more accessible and practical for Australian users.
