S&P 500 perpetuals launch on blockchain for global traders

The S&P 500 is now available as a perpetual contract on Hyperliquid, enabling eligible non-U.S. investors to trade the index 24/7 with real-time data and leverage on blockchain.

S&P Dow Jones Indices has officially licensed the S&P 500 for its first perpetual contract on blockchain, launched through Trade[XYZ] on the decentralized Hyperliquid platform. This innovative product allows eligible non-U.S. investors to access leveraged exposure to the S&P 500 index 24/7, using real-time official index data. Perpetual contracts, a staple in crypto markets, enable traders to take long or short positions without an expiry date. This marks a significant step in bridging traditional finance and crypto, removing barriers like limited market hours and geographic restrictions. Trade[XYZ] has surpassed $100 billion in trading volume since October 2025, highlighting the growing adoption of decentralized perpetuals. The launch is seen as a landmark, offering institutional-grade standards and deep liquidity for both crypto and traditional finance participants.
