Trust and security have overtaken low fees as the primary factors for choosing crypto exchanges, reflecting a shift toward regulated and reliable platforms. Most investors keep their crypto holdings under 10% of their portfolios and prefer long-term strategies, with 58% identifying as long-term holders and 42% maintaining investments for over two years. Diversification is evident, with an average of three tokens per holder. While 44% view crypto as an asset class, 29% see it as speculative. Social media is the leading source of crypto education for 62% of respondents, though confidence in understanding the market is split. The findings indicate a cautious, disciplined, and increasingly sophisticated approach among Singapore’s retail crypto investors.
